I had a mixed experience at Wa No Kaede. While the location was fantastic and the ambiance felt luxurious, there were significant cleanliness issues in my room. The dining menu was also quite limiting, which was odd considering the quality of the food itself.

Rooms
5.0
I found my room to be in need of a deep clean. It smelled unpleasant, and there was dust and dirt in various areas. The furnishings felt outdated, and there were no bedside lamps. My mattress wasn't in great shape either, which was disappointing for the price I paid.
Service
6.0
The checkout process was straightforward and the staff were friendly and spoke English well. However, I often had to wait at the reception to ask for basic items like toilet paper and clean towels.
Location

The hotel's location was truly a highlight. It was nestled in a clean and peaceful neighborhood, just a short walk from Kabukicho and close to a convenient store. I really appreciated how accessible everything was.
Dining
5.0
The food was tasty, but I was disappointed that there was no option to choose what I wanted to eat. For example, on some nights, only fish was served, leaving those who don’t eat fish with limited choices. It felt quite strange, especially when I noticed that children at the table had steak while adults did not.
Facilities
6.0
I did like the overall fancy vibe of the hotel and the comfort of my room's beds. However, the lack of convenient spaces like a small table in the kitchen made things a bit difficult, especially with children around.

My stay at Wa No Kaede was overall enjoyable, thanks to its pristine location and modern amenities. The room was freshly refurbished and very comfortable, although I encountered some odd room configurations and limited dining options. Still, the peaceful neighborhood made it a pleasant retreat after busy days in Tokyo.

Rooms

I stayed in a suite with comfortable beds and well-maintained furnishings. However, the layout was a bit strange, requiring me to walk through the main bedroom to access the lounge. Also, the lack of a door for the second bedroom was a downside.
Service
9.0
The staff was incredibly accommodating, offering to store my bags until my flight. They were friendly and attentive, which made my experience even better.
Location

The hotel's location was perfect for me. It was in a clean, peaceful neighborhood and just a short walk from Kabukicho Sakura-dori Street and a 7-Eleven convenience store (great for late-night snacks).
Dining
6.0
I found the dining experience a bit peculiar since the menu was fixed, leaving little room for choice. While the food was well-prepared, it was odd that adults didn't receive the same meal options as children on some nights.
Facilities
7.0
The amenities were decent, with two toilets and showers in my suite. However, I missed having laundry services available on-site, which could have made my longer stay more comfortable.

My stay at Wa No Kaede was quite an experience. The spacious three-room apartment had its perks, like the separate washrooms and comfortable beds, but the room configuration was a bit odd. The noise from outside and overhead could be distracting at times, which made for some restless nights.

Rooms

The apartment was spacious and had two comfortable western queen beds along with a single bed. However, the layout was strange, requiring me to walk through the main bedroom to access the lounge and the second bedroom, which lacked a door.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially when it came to storing my bags until check-in. However, their English skills were limited, and the overall customer service felt unpolished, likely due to many being interns.
Location

The location was ideal, just a short walk to a train station and minutes from a 7-Eleven convenience store. perfect for late-night snacks or quick meals. The area felt safe and accessible, which was a bonus.

I had a decent stay at Wa No Kaede, enjoying its excellent location near convenience stores and eateries, which made dining quite easy. However, I found the room quite small, and the stairs to the second floor were a bit challenging. The experience was comfortable overall, but the room configuration and noise levels could definitely use some improvement.

Rooms

The Family Suite was small, making it difficult to change clothes with ease, and the bed was too soft for my liking. Basic toiletries were provided, but I missed having a hair dryer and drinking water in the room.
Service

Check-in was fast, and I appreciated the assistance from the one staff member on night duty. They were friendly and accommodating.
Location

The location is fantastic, with a 20-minute walk from the train station and a 24-hour eatery nearby. I loved having a 7-Eleven right next door for any quick snack needs.
Dining

Having places to eat within walking distance, like the 24-hour Sukiya, was a major plus for me during my stay. It made meal times stress-free.
Facilities

Although the facilities were basic, the presence of a small fridge and kettle was a nice touch for making quick meals or drinks. I really appreciated the outdoor sitting area for relaxing.

I had an amazing stay at Wa No Kaede for two nights. The hotel is undeniably fancy, featuring spacious rooms with really good amenities. However, there were a few quirks with the dining experience and the room configurations that could use some improvement.

Rooms

I opted for a three-room apartment that was very comfortable, with two queen-sized beds and a single bed. However, I found the layout odd because I had to walk through the main bedroom to access the lounge and the second bedroom. There was a bit of noise from outside, but I managed to sleep well with earplugs.
Service

The hospitality was great. the staff went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, like storing my luggage before check-in. They were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
Location

The hotel's location was convenient. just a short, ten-minute walk to the train station and very close to a 7-Eleven and Daiso. I appreciated the easy access to local stores for snacks and essentials.
Dining
7.0
While the food was good, I found the set menu restrictive, especially on days when the options were fish-focused. Adults did not have access to some popular dishes that were served to the kids, which felt odd. I also noticed that rice was served at the very end of courses, which was a bit unusual.
Facilities
8.0
Facilities were generally great. having two separate showers and toilets was very convenient for groups. I also appreciated my room's small fridge, which wasn't mentioned before my arrival.
